Analysis Of T.I.'s T.I. vs T.I.P.

One way that T.I. is represented here is very successful wealthy and dominant. For example the way he is presenting himself with his fancy office and his feet on the table implying he is a boss. This suggests that young black men are sort of taking over because the environment he is in would normally be expected to be a environment for an old white man with lots of experience in the business.Secondly, the text suggests that men should be rich and also being a boss to be successful in the music game. This is clear when he is having a drink with his tie loosened he looks like he is relaxing after a hard days work , this implies that you do not get to be where he is with hard work.

One way he uses his text is very good because T.I.'s real name is Tip and the font has made it out to be battered and used more ghetto infact, Where as the bit where it says T.I. is very clean cut and nice looking and the Vs sign has been turnt into a dollar sign. For example T.I. Vs T.I.P. is basically implying that hes against his own alter ego. This is important because it shows that men do not have to act bad and commit crime because of where they come from but they can also act as a gentlemen if they have the chance to be in the right enviroment.

One typical audience this could be aimed at is young black men in the slums because this could be inspiring to them to acomplise there dream.

Analysis Of 50 Cent's Guess Whos Back?

One way that 50 Cent is represtended here is violent and aggresive. By rapper 50 cent holding a gun with him blurred out in the background shows that the gun is shown to be more important than himself. This could also indicate that hes back with a bang like his new album.
His choice of clothing is a key factor beacuse like Lil waynes album cover you can see he has alot of flesh showing with tattoos all over his body.He chooses to wear a bulletproof vest over the top this backs up my point about this cover being violent and aggresive and shows that rapping is not just about the music but that its also now afilliated with gang and street culture.

Another way men are represented in this image is religious once again if you look at Lil Waynes Tha Carter 2 he is wearing two very expensive looking crucifix's and in this cover 50 Cent's crucifix seems to take attention away from the gun with the shine of the diamonds almost coming at you. This shows even though they may resolve to crime they still look to God for guidance to help them get through life and be successfull.

50 Cents album cover is all in black and white, He continues this theme with his font its very bold and it being black on white and white on black it really helps it stand out and the "guess whos back" is written in the same font that most crime files are written in on the front. He uses very basic font and colours to show you that your gettin everything on the front including lyrics about money violence crime and religion. This is very stereotypical of a young black male but rapper 50 cent doesnt seem to mind because hes got where he is by living his lifestyle this way so he feels no need to change.

Analysis Of Lil Wayne's Tha Carter 2.

One way that men are represented is very powerful in this picture. He is wearing streetwear clothes like something a young man would be wearing on a hot day in and around his neighbourhood. This shows that even young black men from the more poorer areas can be succesfull in the music buisness in this decade.Where as before in the music industry these roles in the buisness were usually taken up by white men.For example in this picture the rapper Lil Wayne is shown to be very wealthy by just casually leaning against a Rolls Royce Phantom which is no everyday car. This is important because he is showing that the money hasnt changed him and he is still representing where he comes from. This makes him look like a dominant male over the people still in "The Hood".

Another message sent out by Lil Wayne by this picture is that to look the part you have to have the correct body including muscles, jewellery etc. The lighting really shows up his muscles and tattoos this suggests that to be a successful rapper you would need these attributes . For example he is showing that he's not only strong minded and by choosing a Rolls Royce this shows that he is not only taking over but he is showing that you need to be strong pyhsically too.Lil waynes several tattoos could be associated with gangs including the "Tear Drop" which in the gang world is known to mean you have mudered someone, a stereotypical reprsentation is created here because most young black guys are normally in the usa involved with gangs and violence.

The font Lil Wayne has chosen is very elegant to show a little bit of class to go along with his Rolls Royce, he chose red to stand out but still look classy its almost like a signature you would see on very wealthy mans check, rapper Lil Waynes lifestyle is very much now just like a very wealthy men and is living it up along with the big stars of the world.
